Each academic year, we invite a small cohort of passionate educators to join the Green Accelerator for Educators, in collaboration with the Educators’ Lab.
Through €500 in project funding, one-on-one coaching, and storytelling support, participants are empowered to turn bold, student-centered ideas into reality. Check out their inspiring projects.
Centro Educativo Técnico Chixot (HERO SCHOOL)
Guatemala
Students work alongside teachers and local builders to create sustainable infrastructure projects that improve living conditions for vulnerable families in Guatemala, including smoke-safe stoves, rainwater harvesting systems, and earthquake-resistant homes. By combining regenerative construction practices with student leadership, the project strengthens climate resilience while empowering young people to become long-term environmental changemakers in their communities.
Khangogd 1st School
Mongolia
Students transform plastic waste into handmade products while learning entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and climate awareness through hands-on upcycling activities and inter-school recycling competitions. The initiative helps students build confidence, leadership, and green business skills while encouraging communities to see waste as a valuable resource rather than a problem.
SafeHost International Initiative
Nigeria
This inclusive climate education program brings together neurodivergent and neurotypical students through accessible environmental learning experiences including storytelling, sensory activities, upcycling projects, and collaborative climate initiatives. By creating opportunities for all learners to meaningfully participate in sustainability education, the project strengthens confidence, teamwork, and environmental stewardship skills across the school community.
Galuut Secondary School
Mongolia
Students work with local herding communities to propagate native trees using affordable, low-cost techniques that support environmental restoration and sustainable land use. Through hands-on learning and community engagement, the project encourages young people to protect local ecosystems while building climate resilience in regions heavily affected by environmental degradation.
ESPUNM
Argentina
Educiudad encourages students to investigate environmental and social challenges in their local communities and design regenerative, place-based solutions focused on architecture and urban planning. Through civic engagement and real-world problem solving, students develop critical thinking, collaboration, and leadership skills as they design the infrastructure of the future.
The Royal Academy
Bhutan
Students collaborate with local communities across Bhutan to preserve indigenous knowledge and environmental traditions through storytelling, interviews, and digital media projects. By documenting and sharing cultural practices connected to sustainability and harmony with nature, the initiative strengthens intergenerational learning and environmental awareness for future generations.
UPSRJ
Mexico
This regenerative education initiative introduces students to soil biodiversity, climate resilience, and ecological systems through hands-on STEM learning and citizen science activities. By connecting schools with scientists and environmental educators, the project builds ecological awareness while helping teachers integrate regenerative education into classrooms across Mexico.
Anglican Girls Grammar School
Nigeria
This climate literacy campaign introduces students and rural communities to climate education through storytelling, recycling initiatives, clean-up campaigns, and peer learning activities led by student climate ambassadors. The project is helping young people develop environmental leadership skills while encouraging more sustainable habits and awareness within local communities.
Blantyre Secondary School
Malawi
Student leaders across multiple secondary schools receive practical environmental training focused on tree planting, land restoration, and climate resilience education. Through peer-to-peer learning and hands-on sustainability initiatives, the project equips students with practical environmental knowledge and technical assistance they can apply within schools and local communities.
